Ideal Weight Calculator

Devine, Robinson and Miller formulas compared.

Three established formulas — the truth is usually a range, not a single number.

Ideal weight estimates

How to Use

  1. Choose units.
  2. Select gender and enter your height.
  3. Compare the Devine, Robinson and Miller estimates.

Calculation Method

All three formulas use height above 5 ft (60 in):

  • Devine: men 50 + 2.3·(in over 60); women 45.5 + 2.3·(in over 60) kg
  • Robinson: men 52 + 1.9·…; women 49 + 1.7·… kg
  • Miller: men 56.2 + 1.41·…; women 53.1 + 1.36·… kg

Treat the spread as a healthy target range, not a single number.
